MY LIFE AS A BLACK WOMAN: Dinner & Discussion Moderated by Terrie M. Williams
February 16, 2006

Hear from a diverse panel of women from various backgrounds about what it is like to be a woman of African decent. In the spirit of our past series "My Life as a Muslim Woman" and "Corsets & Corn: My Life as a Woman in 1628", join TWM during Black History Month for an open, frank and revealing discussion about how race has affected these women in their personal and professional lives all while enjoying some authentic Soul Food at Amy Ruth's Restaurant in Harlem. A portion of the proceeds from this event will go to a charity that benefits Katrina's survivors who are women of color. (Above photo: Terrie Williams listens to Tammy Place share her passion in life, one theme of the event. Below: Attendees listen as Sharon Joseph does the same.)
